Circles of Koi Mosaic
Circles of Koi mosaic art was created from a love of all shades of green ceramic tile combined with circles and sea life. I collected the ceramic koi on a weekend trip exploring in another city. One day when making this circular mosaic - I realized this was the perfect piece for them. The juxtaposition of the fish swimming in opposite directions in the emerald sea of ceramic pieces was one fun element of putting this mosaic together. All tiles made with up-cycled pieces that were misfits from Mercury Mosaics Emerald, Vermont Pine and Sea Mist Subway Tile now repurposed into this art you see here.
